HELPING PEOPLE SINCE 1974

WHO WE ARE

We are men and women who live or work in the Eastern Prince William County (Occoquan, Lake Ridge, West Ridge, Old Bridge Estates, Woodbridge, Dale City, etc.)

We are people who SERVE

WHAT WE DO

WE SERVE the community in many ways.  The primary emphasis of LIONS clubs is sight and hearing conservation.  We raise funds to support efforts in early detection and treatment of sight and hearing disorders.  We are also leaders in the fight against TYPE 1 DIABETES (formerly referred to as JUVENILE DIABETES), one of the major causes of blindness.

Locally our club supports college scholarships for area high school students, eye examinations and glasses for those who cannot afford them, ACTS, and many other community needs which are brought to our attention.

HOW WE DO IT

WE SERVE ACTIVELY by going into the community to raise funds.

We sell hot dogs and hamburgers, Christmas Trees, solicit donations and hold White Cane Days to solicit additional funds.  We host an annual Night Out with the Potomac Cannons.

We bring our SIGHT AND HEARING SCREENING VAN to local schools and shopping centers where our members conduct free screenings.  Our members are trained to use the screening equipment.

WE SERVE in the spirit of FELLOW-SHIP.  We hold dinner meetings twice monthly to discuss the needs of our community.  We also invite leaders and volunteers from many different organizations so we can learn more about other activities in our community, how they SERVE and how we can help them.

WE RECRUIT men and women, just like YOU to become LIONS.  We ask you to come and SERVE with us to give something back to the community and help others who are so much in NEED.
